What is Life?

Philosophers often say life is a consequence. For most people, it appears as an infinite series of events. Yet the deeper question remains: what makes an event happen, and why are certain people connected to it?

The truth is difficult to accept — all events in this universe are predestined. No individual, no action, can force an event into existence. When you begin to understand the mechanics of the world and the dynamics of human life, you realize that everyone is a puppet in the course of time, where events unfold as they must.

Ask someone about their life, and they will recount the events that shaped them. But if they pause and contemplate, they may see that life is not merely a collection of events. Then what is life?

Life cannot be fully perceived — it must be experienced. And experience requires effort. The attitude of “My life, my will” does not bring the fulfillment we all desire. Instead, take time to understand life at its foundation, and begin practicing the art of experiencing it. Only then does life reveal its essence.
